Please don't forget that the 2nd Book Bistro is Monday, December 5th. You need to bring your novel and the colored sheet with the center portion completed, to the Bistro in order to participate.
I am rereading the novel, "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne in preparation for teaching it in a few weeks. It is a great story full of sadness, hypocrisy and deceit. I hope you will all read it if you get the chance.
See ya Monday!!

The book I'm reading is very detailed. If you like fantasy and magic, you should read Harry Potter. I've sadly never read these books until now, but I really enjoy the novel.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Eldest, which is the second book in the Eragon series. It is really good, and definitely suspenseful. I would suggest it to anyone who is a fan of action and fantasy books.
ReplyDeleteI really like books about vampires, but I don't like the twilight spin off of the mythical creature. Does anyone know of any good books about vampires that isn't twilight or Cirqu Du Freak? I would love to know about them. Right now I'm reading the second book in the Tunnels series, but I don't like it very much. It has nothing to do with the previous book.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Brian's Winter. It is pretty much hatchet if Brian was never found. I am half way in and hooked
ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called Uglies. Its a book about the separation of being pretty and ugly. You turn pretty at the age of 16. There's different cities for different ages of people.
ReplyDeleteI like books about vampires too. Its the excitement that occurs when you read the book. I kind of like twilight. It's ok. The concept bothers me a little.
ReplyDeleteI just finished the book, and it's so much better than the movies. It's insane. I really loved it.
ReplyDeleteI Read Hide, By Lisa Gardner. Its about a detective who almost dies trying to figure out what this women Annabelle Granger and her family were hiding. its a really good book, very addicting.
ReplyDeleteI finished the book last night, it was really good. id recommend this book to anyone who likes mysterious, action books.
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Eldest. It was really good, but was also somewhat confusing because it was told from the point-of-view of three different people, which made it hard to follow. However, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good fantasy book.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a book called A man named Dave which is a the third book of the series A child Called It. It's a good book and basically just goes on to show how his childhood has affected the rest of his life. If you've read the first two books I recommend this one as well:)
ReplyDeleteI've just began a book called A Time to Kill. Its so crazy right from the start. This 10 year old girl is raped by these two men and then her father tries to kill them. I'm not that far into it but its by one of my favorite authors John Crisham. Check it out!
ReplyDeleteI read "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams. Its actually a play about the Wingfield family.
ReplyDeleteThe book I am reading, like I said, is about the Wingfield family; Tom, the narrator; Amanda, his mother, who is caring and loving, but constantly nags her children on various occasions; and Laura, Toms sister, who seldomly leaves the house and has an ailment in one of her legs causing her to limp. In this story, Tom longs to be free but he knows that he has a responsibility to take care of his mother and sister, But soon after his mother makes a deal with Tom; if he helps her find a husband for Laura, he will be allowed to leave. This book is good for those who can keep up with plays, dialogue, etc..
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to share my secondd book in my series
ReplyDeleteTigers Curse is the bet series I ever read!
ReplyDeleteI hope this book bistro goes as well as the last.
